About this

I’m board.org won’t necessarily make you aware of the newest or shiniest board games, or the ones with the best Kickstarter campaigns. That’s not what this is about.

I’m board.org is not trying to woo the board game aficionado or out flex other review sites with more reviews or the latest newsflow from Spiel Essen.

I’m board.org is pitched at the board game newb or hobby curious who wants to dip that toe in a little bit further. Those that would be grateful of a handhold or a steer in the right direction.

I want I’m board.org to be a cyber games cupboard you can come to rely on. Where, whatever game you pull out it’s a guaranteed cracker. Where you’ll find inventive activities to keep you and your little folk busy and entertained, or you’ll just drop by for some reliable board game gift inspiration for a loved one or nemesis. I have high hopes for this digital games cupboard. Let’s see what we can cram in, eh.

About me & making this

I’m board.org was conceived in Summer 2020 by Rob, a then out of work IT consultant but not really started in earnest until January 2024 mainly due to necessary bureaucracy, three lengthy tea breaks (1 year each), a stack of dishes, and a whole host of competing workloads.

I’m board.org brings together Rob’s lifelong love for games (over 200 and out of control), reading rules and contempt for cheaters into one digital sweet spot. Here he hopes visitors will discover several great games they didn’t realise they needed in their lives.

I’m board.org was launched in December 2024 to much fanfare and international critical acclaim, but Rob, preferring not to bask in the limelight, popped the kettle on and hung up the washing.

Surprisingly, Rob does not live alone, but with a wife (his), two kids (again his) and a feline board game saboteur in a leafy part of London, UK.

The 'Saboteur' strikes again!
